Large quantities of mined material such as sand, soil and tailings can be moved efficiently using a Soil Pumping Station. The production rate of solids is determined by the dumper trucks or shovels filling the hopper hold of the slurrification unit. The dredge pump and its pipeline ensure cost effective tailings transport through a single pipe line. The flexibility of the set-up is evident as the slurrification unit, its jet pack for water supply and DOP dredge pump for slurry removal can be relocated easily. The Soil Pumping Station bridges the gap between mechanical dredging by excavators and hydraulic dredging by using dredge pumps.
