Caterpillar care for new vessels in LATAM
Thanks to the combined efforts and seamless collaboration with our colleagues from the Damen Delivery Department, the maintenance of CAT equipment on two tugboats ASD2312, which sailed from Vietnam and China to their final destinations in Latin America, was completed successfully. This marked a significant milestone in our ongoing commitment to ensuring the highest standards of quality and support for our clients.
The first vessel, VB Bribon, arrived in Panama on October 26. Upon arrival, a comprehensive startup procedure was carried out with the expert assistance of two Field Service Engineers. This crucial phase ensured a smooth final reception with the client, delivering a fully operational vessel, ready for service. Additionally, the technical team took the opportunity to familiarise the new crew with the vessel’s systems, providing them with the necessary training and support to operate it efficiently.
Following the completion of this process, the same team traveled to Mexico to conduct the startup of Don Pedro, a vessel of the same type as VB Bribon, which was built in China for our valued client, Reylaver. The construction of Don Pedro was completed successfully, and the vessel was delivered with a comprehensive one-year warranty period, ensuring that the client receives full support during the vessel’s initial year of operations.
