A vital lifeline
The LUV 2208 is a small, easily manoeuvrable vessel well-suited to navigating islands, supporting small communities as either a ferry or supply vessel.
Feeding the future
The vessel is designed to perform diverse tasks for the aquaculture industry. It can handle large nets and cables, and load and unload harvests, with vehicles able to roll off via a landing ramp.
Considerable cargo capacity
70 tonnes of deck cargo capacity and expansive space provide a stable foundation for heavy equipment and operational versatility.
Local build
The LUV 2208 is locally built to a proven design for stock, facilitating rapid delivery of a reliable platform.
Crane capabilities
The LUV’s considerable stability allows for installation of a crane able to lift 2,500 kilogrammes at 15.5 metres, or up to 15 tonnes at 3.5 metres.
Bringing zero emissions into reach
Zero emission workboat operations
The E LUV 2208 brings the possibility of zero emissions operations in remote locations. The fully electric vessel is able to rapidly recharge from a shore-based containerised system, connected either directly to the grid or to a source of renewable energy, such as solar panels or wind turbine generator.
Rapid recharge
The E LUV is suited both to back and forth operations, such as a ferry service connecting remote communities, or as a workboat, for example operating in the aquaculture industry. Full charging of the 2,4 MW batteries can take place within just two hours (based on 1,200kW charge current).
Space saving
The reliable EST-Floattech batteries have been designed with a minimum lifetime of ten years. The batteries are a next generation, air cooled power supply. They are located below deck, maintaining the vessel’s open deck space suitable for versatile configuration.
Low emissions, low OPEX
As well as significantly reduced emissions, the fully electric design of the E LUV 2208 offers a minimum of maintenance, maximum uptime and low OPEX. The BV classed vessel can be operated anywhere in the world.
