Paying attention to every detail

Every detail has been considered: tanks positioned to avoid freezing, keel cooling, thruster protecting ice knives, warmed wheelhouse windows, on board heating from multiple sources and paint designed to withstand temperatures of -50° C.

A strong hull, well above Class requirements, with scantlings complying both with the Finnish/ Swedish regulations.

Two ASD 3010 ICE Class Tugs busy in Taman

To assist with terminal operations in Taman, OTEKO ordered two Damen ASD 3010 ICE Class Tugs. Delivered in 2016, ‘Azov’ and ‘Adler’ have been busy ever since. Our quality level and swift delivery times played a big part in OTEKO’s decision.

ASD 2609 ICE deployed in Russian Far East

Nakhodka Marine Trade Port took delivery of an ASD Tug 2609 ICE, the first Damen Tug to join its fleet. While Nakhodka Bay is generally ice-free, winter temperatures can fall well below zero, so the hull is rated ICE3 and complies with ARC4.

Picton Terminals is keeping ‘Sheri Lynn S’, a Damen Stan Tug 1606 ICE, very busy with a diverse range of tasks including working as a support vessel for large barges and as a pusher tug. Damen delivered ‘Sheri Lynn S’ within 4.5 months!
