Albwardy Damen, a joint venture between Albwardy Investment, United Arab Emirates and the Damen Shipyards Group, the Netherlands - both family-owned companies with a long history. We provide shipbuilding and ship repair services to the marine and oil & gas industries in the Middle East. We have a total workforce of around 1800 people of 26 different nationalities in our three UAE locations: Dubai, Sharjah and Fujairah. With all the key competences in-house, including an extensive engineering division, we repair and build vessels to the highest technical and environmental standards. Our largest operation is our Sharjah Yard, where we have all the major trades in-house, including an extensive and experienced Engineering Department. With a 120x26 metre shiplift, ample docking space and 1000 metres of quayside with a water depth of up to 7 metres, we are serving all operators in the region. Our in-house diving team carries out underwater maintenance and inspections in the UAE and Oman ports and anchorages. We represent a number of global marine manufacturers with aftersales services. Drydockings are also offered from Dubai and Fujairah. Our operation in Dubai offers drydocking repairs in Al Jadaf and Dubai Maritime City where we can dock vessels up to 130 x 33 metres in size.

Family-owned Damen Shipyards Group has been in operation for over ninety-five years and offers maritime solutions worldwide, through design, shipbuilding, ship repair and related services. Damen operates 35 shipyards and 20 other companies in 20 countries, supported by a worldwide sales and service network. In addition to fellowship, craftsmanship and entrepreneurship, stewardship is a starting point for Damen. We want to be the most sustainable shipbuilder in the world. Digitalisation and standardisation of platforms are important preconditions for this. Our main activities are the design and serial construction of inventive ships by integrating diverse components and subsystems into high-quality platforms. These activities are supported by a worldwide sales and service network.
