Easter fundraising campaign Foundation Damen Support

With a heart full of joy, we look back on an unforgettable Easter fundraiser.

In the weeks before Easter, Foundation Damen Support embarked on something much bigger than just a "casual" fundraising campaign for our Ukrainian colleagues. During this period, we made every effort to create a most impactful Easter fundraiser. Before we knew it, we sold 1500 bags to our colleagues and another thousand were distributed to Shiprepair & Conversion in Rotterdam.

What made this Easter campaign so special was the involvement and generosity of colleagues. The support and the enthusiasm during the sales days, exceeded all our expectations.

We are proud to share that we have sold all the bags of chocolate and were able to raise €8243,73. These proceeds will be used to sustain the Community Center in Galati and to continue providing essential services to our colleagues in need.

Although Easter for us is now behind us, in Ukraine Orthodox Easter will fall on May 5 and 6 this year. Unfortunately, the situation in Ukraine has not improved, and we fear it will be some time before peace returns. As a result, the holidays again cannot be celebrated in the usual way. This gives us even more motivation to stay committed, even if in small ways.
