A historic achievement for Damen’s Dragon Boat team
We are thrilled to announce that Damen’s boat team recently made waves at the Dragon Boat racing season 2024-2025 in Abu Dhabi! Competing on October 19-20, our team showcased their incredible skills, winning silver medals in both the Community and Corporate races!
For those new to the sport, Dragon Boat racing is an exciting and competitive paddling sport where teams work in perfect harmony to propel long, narrow boats forward. Originating in ancient China, the sport has evolved into a global phenomenon, celebrated for its emphasis on teamwork, endurance, and camaraderie.
Our team's success wouldn’t have been possible without the dedication of the Desert Falcons, a group founded on June 23, 2019, by passionate individuals who shared a deep love for Dragon Boat paddling. Based in the vibrant city of Dubai, UAE, the Desert Falcons quickly grew from a small group of enthusiasts into a dynamic team renowned for their dedication and competitive spirit. Over the years, they’ve made a name for themselves within the Dragon Boat community, earning recognition for their athletic excellence and strong community engagement.
